Don't Worry.....Bee Happy!

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am back with another project that showcases some awesome stamps and dies from

I used the Nested Hexagons dies and cut out a few hexagons of different sizes and placed them onto a piece of black cardstock that I cut out using the Stitched Rounded Rectangles. Some of the hexagons were popped up with foam tape and some were adhered flat. I think that gave the card some dimension and a pretty neat look, at least in person. The camera didn't quite pick it up like I hoped. For my image, I used the Don't Worry stamp set for my sweet little bee and sentiment. I added some faux stitching with a black pen to act as a flight path of that cute little bee :)

Shopping Our Stash #262: A Stitch In Time

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week, challenge #262 is....
A Stitch In Time
(use stitching on your project. Sewing machine, Faux Stitching, etc.)

Here is the project that I created for this challenge:

Last month, my hubby bought me a cute little pink sewing machine. It's the perfect size for papercrafting and I was excited to actually pull it out and use it for this project. I used a straight stitch and tried to sew a straight line all around my wood patterned paper. I cut a two inch strip of polka dot paper and proceeded to try and sew a straight line around that also. Sewing straight is definitely not my thing, as you can see lol! Oh well, gives it character right? ;) I added some little scallop borders along the edges of the polka dot paper. I have had this patterned paper for about a year and a half now. I almost have the paper pad gone, so I'm feeling pretty excited about that. Once I had my papers picked out for my project, I knew which stamp I was going to use for image. I have had these faceless chickens and chickie face asst. stamps in my stash for quite a while now and can not remember when the last time I used them was. I tried to find out by looking at older blog posts but couldn't find any. I'm pretty sure it has been at least a year, probably longer since the last time I used them. After I had my image stamped and colored, I used a stitched oval die to cut it out and pop it up onto my card front with some foam tape. I used some older SU! punches for my greeting, also popped up with foam tape.

Be sure to head over to the Shopping Our Stash Challenge Blog to see what my design team sisters created. I hope you will decide to make a project and join us, I would love to see what you create!

A Simple Butterfly Hello

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am back with another project that showcases some awesome stamps and dies from

For my card, I trimmed some floral paper to cover the front of my card base. I used the Stitched Rounded Rectangles to cut out my light pink and white cardstock. I stamped some of the butterflies from the Inspire stamp set along the side of my white cardstock piece, trimmed it and attached a yellow scallop that I cut out using one of the borders from the Scallop Borders die set. I added the Hello from the Hello Dies, added some wink of stella and a few sequins to finish off the card.

Shopping Our Stash #261: You Are Matchless

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week, challenge #261 is....
You Are Matchless
(Create your own matchbook/matchbox)

Here is the project that I created for this challenge:

I decided to make a little matchbook that holds a piece of chocolate. I used some patterned paper that has been in my stash for over a year. The best part is, I was able to use up some of the scraps in the paper pad. I used staples to close the bottom flap of my matchbook, they are just covered up with the crochet thread. I used a word die from Pink & Main and finished off the front with some enamel dots as well as some bling. I have had the bling for a really long time, at least 2 years!

Here is a pic of the matchbook from the top:

and a picture of it opened up:

Camp Create Day 5

Hi everyone!
I'm back with a quick post to share the card that I created for
Day 5 of the MFT Camp Create
I had such a great time! I can't believe Camp is done :(

Day 5 was Background Bonanza! We used smaller stamps to create our own background/patterned paper.

I adore these piggies in the Hog Heaven stamp set and I thought the little flowers in the set would make a perfect background. I stamped all the flowers onto my card base and then colored them in with my Copics. For the small black dots, I simply inked up the end of one of my stylus tools. I colored my images and then used the Hog Heaven dies to cut them out so that I could layer them onto one of the Zig Zag Stitched Circle Stax. I finished off my card with a little bit of faux stitching and some glossy accents to the bow and the flower centers.

I really did have so much fun participating in Camp Create and am looking forward to another camp session next month :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

I hope you have a great crafty day!

Camp Create Day 4

Hi everyone!
I'm back with a quick post to share the card that I created for
Day 4 of the MFT Camp Create.

Day 4 was all about Masking. I decided to do some simple masking with some washi to create some stripes.

I placed some washi along a piece of Tim Holtz cardstock and used some Candied Apple Distress ink to create my red stripes. After the washi was pulled away, I used a ruler to draw some thin lines. I stamped my little Sailor girl, colored her in with my Copics, matted her onto some Nightshift Blue cardstock from MFT and popped her up onto my card front with some foam tape. Super simple but I really like the simplicity of the end result.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!

You Color My World

Hi everyone!
I'm back tonight with a quick post to share the card that I created for
Day 3 of the MFT Camp Create.

Day 3 was all about Inlaid Die Cuts! Such a great technique and I love that it doesn't add extra bulk which makes it so easy to mail! Here is the card I created:

I used the Rainbows of Happiness stamp set as well as the Rainbow and Puffy Clouds dies from MFT to create my card. I love how this turned out with all the glitter and sparkle. I added a few sequins for a little dimension.

A Holly Christmas Card

Happy Wednesday!!

Today I am back with another project that showcases some awesome stamps and dies from

I think I have Christmas on the brain lol! Can you believe it is July already?? Anywho, I decided I would get a jump start on some of my Christmas cards and make this one. I used the largest rectangle in the Stitched Rounded Rectangles set to cut out my piece of holly patterned paper. I then used some of the new Scallop Border Dies to put a little scallop edge behind my white sentiment piece. My sentiment and holly came from the Hollydays stamp set. I used the coordinating dies to cut out my holly. I wrapped some twine around my greeting panel and tied a little bow. I adhered the holly and the greeting panel with foam tape for extra dimension. I also added some glossy accents to the holly berries. Very clean and simple, I love how it turned out!

A Friend Like Gnome One Else

Hi everyone!
I'm back tonight with a quick post to share the card that I created for
Day 2 of the MFT Camp Create.

Day 2 was all about coloring. The example shown was coloring on Kraft cardstock with colored pencils so that is what I decided to do also.

I decided to use the You Gnome Me stamp set to create a little scene. The only colored pencils that I have are the old school Crayola ones so that is what I used. They ended up working pretty well, at least I think so lol! I added a piece of polka dotted vellum behind my image layer and then popped up that entire piece up with some foam tape.  I think it turned out cute. A new technique for me but I'm really glad that I gave it a try and I definitely think I will be doing it more often and trying different coloring mediums.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a peek at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

Camp Create Day 1

For my Shopping Our Stash post, please scroll down one or click HERE

Hi everyone!
I'm back with a quick post to share the card that I created for
Day 1 of the MFT Camp Create

Day 1 was all about foiling. I decided to make a Christmas card and use one of those cute little elves from the Santa's Elves stamp set.

I stamped that adorable elf and colored him in with my Copics. I then cut out a frame using the Stitched Square Scallop Frames from some toner paper and ran that through my Minc Mini to create the red foiled frame. I layered that on top and simply trimmed up my elf piece. I stamped my greeting, added some white doodles and then added a bit of shimmer with a shimmer brush but still felt like it needed something. I decided to take some of the leftover foiled pieces and punch out some circles with different size hole punches to embellish my card. I really like how it turned out, kinda like foiled enamel dots, only flatter lol.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a peek at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

Off to see what fun awaits for Day 2 of Camp Create :)

I hope you have a great crafty day!

Shopping Our Stash #260: Inspired by your bedding

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week, challenge #260 is....
Get inspired by your bedding!
(create a project based on something that inspires you from your bedding. It could be a pattern, colors, the number of pillows you have, maybe even the bedding you have been eyeing at the store.)

For my card, I went with the colors of my bedding. My bedding is a soft cream and taupe with some darker brown stitching here and there.

Here is a quick peek at my actual bedding (taken with my phone's camera, not the best picture but you get the idea lol)

Here is the card that I created based on my bedding:

I used a soft brown cardstock for my card base. I'm not sure what color it is, maybe Crumb Cake, but I pulled it from an older variety pack from SU! that I have had for about two years. I used a piece of vellum that has some stripes in it, I thought that went well with the stripes in the back pillows. For my image layer, I used an stamp from SU that I have had for awhile and stamped it with some brown ink. I added a bit of wink of stella to it for some shimmer and some tiny pearls to the center of three of the flowers. I added my greeting and a bit of ribbon to finish off my card. The only thing I used that is less than a month old for me was the vellum. Everything else I have had in my stash for at least 6 months.

Be sure to head over to the Shopping Our Stash Challenge Blog to see what my design team sisters created. I hope you will decide to make a project and join us, I would love to see what you create!

A note of thanks

Hey everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Monday!
Tonight I have a card that I would like to share with you that I made for my homework for Day 1 of the Heat Wave Online Card Class

I recently purchased a magazine that had some Altenew rose stamps included with it. I thought today would be the perfect day to break them out so that I could emboss one of the layers with some gold embossing powder.

After I had my rose all inked up and embossed, I put it aside and worked on the rest of my card. I embossed the "thanks" with some gold embossing powder and then used my Swiss Dots embossing folder to emboss the top part of my card layer. I also added some gold embossing all around the edges. I popped up my embossed layer with some foam tape and then also added some foam tape to my rose. I finished off my card with some sequins.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

I hope you have a great crafty day!

A Stroll Down Memory Lane with Cut It Up Challenges!

Hey everybody!!
I hope you are having a fabulous Friday!!

Today I am back with a post for Cut It Up!

Cut It Up

Today marks the 100th challenge!! Wow right?? For those of you that don't know, Kimberly and I started the Cut It Up challenge blog together. We wanted a challenge blog that incorporated the use of any type of die cutting machine, not just one specific one. From there, Cut It Up was born. Unfortunately life got in the way of crafting for both Kimberly and I and we both needed to take a step back at that time. We thought about closing it down and almost did until Evelyn contacted me and asked if I would mind if she ran it. I am so glad that she did!! While Kimberly and I were sad to walk away, we felt better knowing that Cut It Up had a great new owner :) She is doing a wonderful job and the challenge blog and grown so much! We definitely handed over the reigns to the right person!

For my project, I decided to make a birthday/celebration card.

I used some fun chevron patterned paper to cover my card base. I created my gray layer by using one of the Stitched Rounded Rectangles dies from Pink & Main. The party hat and the "celebrate" are dies from My Creative Time. I hand cut the banner and I finished off my card with some enamel dots and some shimmer on the hat's pom.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
I hope you will stop by the Cut It Up Challenge Blog and take a look at all the fabulous projects from the past and present design team members.  :)
This was such a great idea Evelyn, thank you so much for thinking of it and including me!

I hope you have a great crafty day!

RAWR!

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am back with another project that showcases some awesome stamps and dies from

Pink and Main are coming out with some awesome new dies. This is a little sneaky peek of those. Can you spot them on my project?? They are called Scallop Hexagons and Nested Hexagons and they are so fun!! I can already tell I will be giving these a workout and using them quite a bit lol! For my image, I used the super cute stamp set titled Dinomite. I colored in my little dino and added a few doodles with my white gel pen. I added my greeting and a little bow that I made using my 1-2-3 punch board.

The inside of the card reads....

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week, challenge #259 is....
Say What?!
(use speech bubbles)

Here is the project that I created:

For my card, I dug into my paper stash and pulled out some patterned paper that I have had for awhile now. Not sure how long I've had it but since I can't remember buying it, I would say somewhere between 6 months and a year, maybe longer lol. Isn't that stamp set the sweetest? My darling daughter bought me the stamps and coordinating dies for Christmas and this is the first time I have used them! Wow huh?  I can't believe I waited so long to use these cuties!!
