Cut It Up #7

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday!
Today marks the beginning of another fabulous challenge over at

"It's a 3D Holiday"
Create a 3 Dimensional holiday project,
this can be any holiday but
must include a Die-cut somewhere on your project.

The challenge will run from
 November 30th until December 12th .

For my project, I decided to make a Christmas Countdown using a mini clipboard.

For my die-cuts I used Cricut Alphabet for my numbers and the Labels Four Spellbinders die to put the "Countdown to Christmas" title on.

Here is a side view so that you can see all the dimension:

Head on over to Cut It Up and see what my super talented DT sisters created to inspire you as well as entering the challenge yourself. I would love to see what you create :)

NOEL

Hello and Happy Thursday!

Are you ready for the weekend?? I know I am :)
I plan on doing lots of crafting since the holidays are quickly approaching!

I was able to get back into my craft space today and whip up this card for a couple of different challenges.

The first one is Use It Tuesday--Ink It Up!
(Use an un-inked stamp)
&
The second one is Let's Capture These Sketches
(Sketch #41 plus polka dots)
Isn't this a fabulous sketch?

Here is the card that I made:

For my card, I was finally able to use a stamp that I got LAST Christmas!
You know, those stamps that are in the dollar bin at Michael's
that are so cute and you have to have it? I mean why not? They are only a $1 right??
Well, I got this NOEL stamp last year and have never used it, so I pulled it out today to use for the
I also went through my ribbon scraps and found just enough seam binding for my card.
I also ended up finding some snowflakes from a swap 2 years ago!
I love it when that happens!

I am so happy with the way my card turned out!
There is just something about Non Traditional Christmas colors that grabs my eye even though I adore the Traditional Christmas colors as well. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I'm off to clean up my messy desk ;)
I hope you have a fabulous crafty day!

Nice or Naughty???

Happy Wednesday!

This week the Joy's Life Design Team has been showing you ways to create gift bags and boxes using those awesome Joy's Life Stamps.

I decided to make a fun little gag gift for my children to put into their stockings, along with their other goodies.

I cut my boxes out of the Artiste Cricut Cartridge (pg. 44) at 4".
After I cut them out and assembled them, I decided to add some white borders, that I punched using the scallop sentiment border punch, and a black card stock strip (belt) to see if I could recreate a Santa suit.

Then I decided that I wanted my sentiment to act as the "buckle"

How cute! I love that stamp from the Wintery Puns stamp set by Joy's Life!

The boxes are filled with "coal", actually it is just chocolate candy made to look like coal ;)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today and looking at my latest creation.
I really appreciate it!

PDEC #47--Anything Goes!

Happy Friday! Don't you just love Fridays?
Today is the start of a brand new challenge at

Ch#47: Anything Goes!

Cardz TV Stamps
Prize: 1 Stamp Set of the Winner's Choice

I decided to get a jump start on some little homemade gifts for the upcoming holiday's:

When I was at the mall last week, I stopped in Bath & Body Works and  picked up some of those little mini hand sanitizer bottles. They were 5 for $5 so of course I bought 5 and made 5 cute little gifts.

For the front, I used a cute little stamp from Joy's Life new stamp set called "Oh Christmas Puns".
I think this sentiment is so perfect for this little gift. All I did was stamp it and then trimmed it out and cut notches at each end to make a little banner.

I cut my scallop circle out of the Classic Scallop Circles die from Spellbinders.
I cut my Santa hat out of the Create A Critter 2 cartridge at 1" (real dial size).
The Santa hat is popped up with some foam adhesive onto the scallop circle.
The circle only has adhesive on the bottom half so that the flap can tuck behind that to keep it shut.

Here is a picture of the flap open:

Here is a picture of the bottle outside of the box:

I hope you enjoyed my project today!

CANDi Ornaments

Hi everyone!
Boy am I excited!
Today is my very first post as a designer for Craftwork Cards CANDi USA team!

CANDi is so fun to work with!
They are legless brads, what's not to love right??
I love the look of brads but I absolutely hate poking holes in my card stock and then trying to mail a card with brads and worrying that the top of the metal brad is going to poke through the envelope and then the receiver will get a card that is possibly ruined. With CANDi, I don't have to worry about that.
I get the look of a brad without the bulk :)

For my project, I decided to make a Christmas card and use the CANDi as the ornaments on the tree.

Look at those super cute silver polka dots! So fun!
The colors of the CANDi that I used matched the papers from the MME line called Merry perfectly!

I also added a piece of CANDi to the center of my bow.

Here is a close up picture of the CANDi on my project:

For my project, I used the Very Merry Silver collection:

There are so many patterns and colors! You should definitely check out the Craftwork Cards store to see the entire line :)

I hope you have a fabulous crafty day!

Artiste Blog Hop

Thank you so much for joining us today for the CTMH Artiste Blog Hop! There are only 7 of us in this hop, so I hope you'll be able to stop at all our blogs to see the projects we've made to inspire you!!

You should have arrived here from Shawnee @ Blessed On The Bright Side.
If you just happened to stumble upon the hop today on my blog, you should hop on over and see Amanda @ Crafts By Amanda to start at the beginning.

For my project, I wanted to show you this super cute little gift set that I made for a Christmas gift:

First up is the box:

I cut my box out of Artiste. It is the 3D object on page 39 in the handbook.
I cut it out at 2.5"
It was so super simple to assemble.
Once assembled, I simply cut a piece of acetate and adhered it inside the lid so the candies would not fall out. I attached a poinsetta flower sticker from Jolee's Boutique to the lid top. Then I just simply wrapped some gold ribbon and tied a bow to the lid.

Up next is the gift card holder:

You can find this gift card holder on page 59 in the handbook.
I cut it out at 5".
The tag on the front is also from the Artiste cartridge.
It is on page 35 of the handbook.
I used the stamp of the month from CTMH for October called Very Merry Christmas to stamp my sentiment on the tag.
I added some little holly stickers from the same Jolee's Boutique sticker sheet to embellish the front.

Here is a picture of the gift card opened:

I added a sentiment to the inside. The sentiment is also from the October Stamp of the Month set.
It says, "Wishing you a season filled with sweetness"
There is a Starbucks gift card in there. :)
I love Starbucks! lol!

Here is a picture of the entire set with the lid of the box open to see the candy inside:

I was able to fit 6 Lindor Truffles comfortably inside the box.

Speaking of candy, I have something sweet for one lucky follower.
I am going to offer the following 6x6 paper pad to one random person from the comments:

All you have to do to be eligible is:
1. Be a follower of my blog
&
2. Leave me a comment on this post.

That's it! Easy day!

Cut It Up #6

Yep!
So in honor of that Challenge #6 is all about buttons and of course, a die cut.

Challenge #6
Buttons, Buttons Everywhere!

I decided to make a Holiday card for my project:

For my die-cut, I used the Christmas Cheer cricut cartridge and cut my holly out at 3".
Instead of using the holly berries from the cut, I replaced them with 3 red buttons.

I hope you will head over to Cut It Up and join in on the fun!
There is another great prize for this challenge and lots of inspiration from the awesome Design Team.

Challenge runs from Nov. 16, 2012

Teddy Bear Elf

For my Joy's Life Tags & Bags blog hop post, click HERE

Happy Wednesday!

All this week the Joy's Life Design Team is showing you cards that use those fabulous Joy's Life Stamps.

I decided to make a Christmas card.
I always need a lot of them and I like them to all be different, that way I don't get too burned out making the same ones over and over again (even though that seems to be the easier way lol).

Here is the card I created:

I am in love with my Teddy Bear Parade cricut cartridge!
All the bears are so cute!
I cut this bear out at 3" and popped him up with some foam adhesive.

My sentiment came from the Wintery Puns stamp set:

How cute is this Elf Definition?!? I love it!

Thank so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation!

I added a snowflake, also from the artiste cartridge (pg. 79), cut out at 3"

Inside my bag I added some peppermint hot cocoa and some mini candy canes:

So cute!

I cut my tag out of the artiste cartridge (pg. 64) at 3" and it was the perfect size for this adorable sentiment from the Wintery Puns stamp set from Joy's Life:

Isn't that sentiment perfect for a gift bag filled with Hot Chocolate??

Hello and Happy Saturday!

I hope you are all off to a wonderful start to your weekend!

I've been working on my holiday cards for the last few weeks and the sketches over at Freshly Made Sketches has really helped me get some done.

When I saw this week's sketch, I knew what I wanted to do with it right away.
Here is sketch #60:

and here is the card that I created from the sketch:

I kept it really simple and did not embellish too much that way it is much easier and cheaper to mail :)
I let that cute little mouse stamp be my focus of the card.
I wonder what he needs to explain? haha!
Maybe he got into some cheese he should have left alone??

Here's my project:

I decided to make a little gift of peanuts to give to my hubby.
I cut my box out of the Artiste Cricut Cartridge at 4". It is the 3D object on page 67 in the handbook.
The frame layer was cut a little bigger, 4.75" to fit my little squirrel and at 4.25" for my sentiment.
I stamped my squirrel and then hand cut it out and popped him up on the frame layer.

Here is a picture of the peanuts out of the box:

I just poured the peanuts into a freezer storage bag, tied it off with ribbon and then trimmed off the excess with scissors.

He loved it and the peanuts did not last very long.

Happy Holly Days

Happy Wednesday!

This week the Joy's Life Design Team has been showing you ways to create some tags using those awesome Joy's Life Stamps.

I have been trying to get a jump start on my Christmas tags for gifts so I was so happy to hear we were going to be doing this project.

Here are the tags that I made:

I cut my "tags"out of the Elegant Edges cricut cartridge at 3".
The holly was cut from the Winter Woodland cricut cartridge at 1.5".

I punched a hole at the top and threaded some twine through and then secured that with some more twine and a button.

Look at this cute sentiment from the Wintery Puns stamp set:
