Cooking With Cricut---Spring Flowers

Happy Wednesday! Are you ready for another great challenge over at Cooking With Cricut? This week you are being challenged to make a project using a spring flower. I love spring and seeing all the flowers come up. :)

For my project, I made a little gift set:

I cut the purse from Forever Young at 5". The flower also came from Forever Young, and I cut that out at 2.5". I attached some Velcro behind the flower to make it a little bag.

Here is what is inside the purse:

Inside is a little post it note holder with the sentiment "Bloom Where You're Planted" and a little pink gel pen. I am pretty pleased with how this turned out.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and take a look at my latest creation! Don't forget to stop by Cooking With Cricut to see the awesome projects the design team did and to enter the challenge yourself! I can't wait to see what you create! Have a great crafty day!

Card Stock--Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Old Olive (SU!) & White (PTI)

Kind Thoughts

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. The pollen is so bad by me that it is really messing with my allergies. One of the challenges over at Paper Therapy was to make a set of 3x3 note cards and if you made a box to store them in, that was a bonus and it gets you and extra entry into the drawing for the give-a-way. Here is what I came up with for my project:

Can you believe that I didn't even use my cricut! Whoa! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! Have a great crafty day!

Cooking With Cricut Challenge: Cash In Your Stash!

Happy Wednesday! Ready for another great challenge from Cooking With Cricut? This week, in honor of Tax Day, you are being challenged to make a project with stuff in your stash that is over a year old or to use money in your project somewhere.

I decided to make a card using some old supplies. :) Here is my card:

Cute huh? I am so happy that I got to use some of my supplies that normally just sit. I used my Wild Card and Doodlecharms cricut cartridges (both of which are over 3 years old), some dimensional fabric pearl paint (over a year old), the stamp and ink are also over a year old. Even the swiss dots embossing folder is over a year old, but I didn't really count that cause I use it ALL the time. :) The only newer things that I used on my project were the card stocks and the white gel pen for my doodling.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my project. Don't forget to head over to Cooking With Cricut to see what the rest of the DT came up with as well as entering the challenge. I look forward to seeing what you create. :) Have a great crafty day!

For my project, I decided to do something that I have never done before. Make a wreath!

I had so much fun making this! Here is a side view so you can see some of the dimension:

I took a Styrofoam circle and covered it with some yellow paper twist by just untwisting it and then wrapping it around the wreath and adhering it with some hot glue. Then I took some prima flowers and hot glued them all around the front of the wreath. I cut my bunnies and chicks out of the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge. The bunnies were cut out at 3.5" and the chicks were cut out at 2.5". They were also attached with hot glue. I am so happy with this and I think it turned out pretty good for my first one. :)

Birthday Wishes

Happy Friday! Today my baby girl turns 19! Wow! Where has the time gone? I'm so blessed to have her in my life and so proud of the young lady she has become. Happy Birthday Britt! I love you!

Now onto my project for today. I decided to play along this week with the challenge over at Mojo Monday. I love their sketches and if you haven't checked them out yet, you really should.

Here is the sketch for this week:

How great is that sketch? In honor of my daughter's bday, I decided to go with a birthday card. Here is what I came up with:

I didn't even use my cricut! *gasp!* I know, it shocked me too. :) I made the flower out of stacking 3 different size cuts from my classic scallop circle nestabilites. I cut in between some of the scallops and crumpled the layers to give it more of a flower look. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my latest project! I really appreciate it! Have a great crafty day!

April Showers

Happy Wednesday! I love Wednesday's! Why? Because Wednesday's start a new challenge over at Cooking With Cricut!

This week the theme is, April Showers...Project must have rain or water as the focus.

When I think of rain, I always think of an umbrella, so I decided to go with that for my project.

This card also fits challenges going on at Fantabulous Cricut and The Paper Variety.

I decided to make a little gift bag with some flower seeds in it to give as a little gift to someone. I used a little gift bag and decorated the front of it. I cut my umbrella from Create A Critter at 3.75". The label on the flower seed packets says, "April Showers Bring May Flowers". I just typed that up on my computer and cut out 2 labels from Create A Critter to mat it on. The labels were cut out at 1.5" and 1.25".

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my blog! I hope you decide to join in on the challenge over at Cooking With Cricut! I can't wait to see what you create! :) Have a great crafty day!

P.S. Don't forget to join us on Saturday April 9 for a bunny blog hop! Lots of inspiration for your Easter projects!
