Polka Dot Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the Polka Dot Blog Hop! If you came here from Jenny at Crazy About Cricut, then you are in the right spot! If you just happened to stumble across my blog and found the hop today, you can find the complete list of stops at Inking It Up Crazy.

I love polka dots! For my project, I decided to make a little birthday gift. I altered a tiny paint can filled with bite-sized snickers, a matching 3x3 card and a matching gift bag for it all to fit in.

How cute is that? I love it!

For my bag, I just used a white lunch bag and used a border punch to create a scallop edge to the bottom of the fold. I cut out "It's Your Day" from Celebrations cricut cartridge at 3". Punched 2 holes in the top and tied a bow to keep the sack closed.

For the paint can, I wrapped some patterned paper around the can and then used some ribbons for the handle as well for the top and bottom of the patterned paper. On the top of the lid, I used my scallop circle nestabilites and stamped the sentiment. The sentiment that I used is from SU! and it says, "The More Candles, The Bigger The Wish".

For the gift card, I cut a piece of card stock 3 by 6 and folded it in half to make a 3x3 card. I then used the Celebrations cricut cartridge and cut out the party hat at 2".

That's it! So simple to do but I think it looks adorable!

What's a blog hop without a little bit of candy?

I am going to give one lucky follower the following prize:

Cartridge Toss-Up with Lacy Lables project #2

Happy Thursday! Today marks the 2nd project in the Lacy Labels cartridge exploration with me and Kimberly. I really couldn't decide what to do for my 2nd project. This cartridge has so many pretty shapes. As soon as I saw this shape though, the first thing that came to my mind was how it resembled a bookmarker. I love to read, so I went for it and made myself another bookmark to add to my growing collection. :)

I cut out my shape using the congrats image at 2.5". The font I used was from A Child's Year at 1". Thanks so much for looking at my blog today! Don't forget to stop by Kimberly's blog for more Lacy Labels inspiration! Have a great crafty day!

Spring Forward with Cooking With Cricut

Happy Wednesday! Today marks a new challenge week over at Cooking With Cricut. This weeks theme is Spring Forward! Your project must have either a clock or time piece on it. I decided to make a layout for my project.

Please forgive my photography taking skills. haha! I can never seem to take a decent picture of my layouts. This is a layout of me and my dad on the beach when I was 3 years old. I recently ran across some pictures from my childhood and have been tossing around the idea to scrapbook them. I really hope I did the pictures justice. My father is no longer with me and I treasure all the pictures that I have of him. I am thinking about framing this one. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation. Don't forget to stop by Cooking with Cricut to check out what the rest of the DT came up with and to enter the challenge! Have a great crafty day!

I love it! I think it came out so pretty and I am sure my mom will love it. That's the most important thing. I cut out the Flower1 image and all it's layers at 3". I then used Storybook for my font and cut out my letters to spell out MOM at 1". I then used some pink ribbon roses from Offray to give it a little bit more dimension. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and looking at my latest creation! Don't forget to stop by Kimberly's blog for even more Lacy Labels inspiration. I hope you have a great crafty day!

Thinking Of You

Happy Wednesday! Today starts a new challenge over at Cooking With Cricut! This week the challenge is Take Two. Make a project using 2 patterned papers, 2 card stocks and 2 embellishments. How fun is that? This is what I came up with:

All of my papers are from a Making Memories stack. I love using stacks cause it takes all the guess work out of matching up the papers for me. For my 2 embellishments, I used ribbon and a butterfly cut from my cricut. My card is based loosely off of a sketch from page maps. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today. Don't forget to head over to Cooking With Cricut to see what the rest of the DT made and to enter the challenge. I would love to see what you make! Have a great crafty day!

Inking It Up Crazy Design Team Day

Happy Tuesday! Today is a new DT day over at Inking It Up Crazy With Kassidy. For today's project, Kassidy challenged us to make a home decor item. I decided to make something for my bathroom. Here is what I came up with:

I found this frame at Wal-Mart on clearance for $4. I decided I would cut out letters to spell "BATH" and put those into the openings instead of pictures. I used Storybook and cut out my letters at 4" and matted them onto some olive green bazzill card stock. I then cut out the photo corners at 2.5" to put on top of the mat. So easy to do but it looks great and coordinates with my bathroom perfectly. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today and looking at my latest creation! Don't forget to head over to Inking It Up Crazy to see what the rest of the DT made. Have a great crafty day!

Supplies:
Cricut--Storybook
Card stock--green (Bazzill)& Burgundy (bazzill)
Patterned Paper--Making Memories
