Small Wonder

Hi! Today's card was made for the sketch challenge over at Taylored Expressions.

I had a lot of fun with this card. I have no idea why I made a baby card since I don't know of anyone that is having a baby, but the papers and the border punch just kinda took me in that direction. :) I made the flower from my cricut by cutting out 4 of the same flower in 1/4" increments starting at 1/2" and ending with 1 1/4". I then just stacked them together, placed a brad through the middle and then used a paintbrush end to give the petals a little dimension by rolling them under a little bit. I am so happy with the end result of this card. I mean, who doesn't love girly and dainty right? :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wild Card Friday!

Happy Friday! Things are finally starting to settle down around here from my daughter's graduation and I am able to squeeze in some crafty time for me. Not as much as I would like but I will take what I can get. :)

The first card for this Friday is the Cupcake Crd, #30 in the book. I used fit to page on my expression and cut out everything at 5 1/4". I LOVE the envelope that goes with this card. I think the little candle border along the bottom is just too cute!

The second card is the Present card, #31 in the book. I used fit to page on my expression and cut out everything at 7 1/2". I think this card came out so cute. I love the little "ribbons" that can hang down from the bow and the little tag.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop in and take a look. I appreciate it! I hope you have a great crafty weekend!

Paper Therapy Card Challenge

Good Morning! Today's card was made for the June Card Challenge over at Paper Therapy. We were to make a birthday card for a boy or a thank you card to be donated to a group home. I decided to go with a birthday card. Every kid deserves to get a card on their birthday right? I kept it simple since the age range is from about 14-17 years old, not to mention masculine cards aren't my specialty. :)

Feel free to stop by and join us at Paper Therapy. There are monthly challenges for cardmakers as well as scrapbookers. Not to mention a bunch of awesome ladies over there.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and take a look. I appreciate it!

So Sorry

So Sorry there is no wild card friday today. My beautiful daughter graduated from high school today! I have no idea where the time has gone. I am so proud of her and all that she has accomplished and look forward to the bright future I am sure she is going to have.

This has been a crazy week with lots of stuff to do and family coming in for the graduation. I have enjoyed every minute of it! I will be back next week!

Friday?

Oh my goodness! I can't believe it is Friday already. This week seems to have flown by.

Here are the next 2 cards in the Wild Card series.

The first one is the Star card, #28 in the book. I used fit to page and cut out everything at 5 1/2". I then took one of the stars that were cut out from the envelope and attached that to the card base, used my white signo pen to add a little bit of doodling and voila! done! This card was pretty straight forward and did not take more than a few minutes to complete.

The second card for this week is the WOW! card, #29 in the book. I used fit to page and cut out everything at 4". Caution: The card is longer than the envie, so I had to do fit to page for the card first before the envie on this one to figure out the measurements. I love the envelope that comes with this card. Again, this was a pretty simple and easy card to assemble. I added a little doodling, but that's about it. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look!

Happy 4th of July!

Hi! Today's card was made for the June Sketch Challenge over at Paper Therapy. We were challenged to make a card based off of pagemaps sketch but to turn the card into something Patriotic. This is what I came up with:

I cut out the firecrackers from the Stand and Salute Cricut Cartridge at 2 1/2 inches. I cut one each out of the blue and the red and then just paper pieced the red onto the blue. The border along the bottom also came from Stand and Salute. I used my gypsy to weld two of the banner borders together and cut it out to fit to length 3.4".

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop in and take a look! I appreciate it!

Wild Card Friday!

Happy Friday! The next 2 cards in my wild card series are the Branch and the Hello cards.

The first card is the Branch card, #26 in the book. I used fit to page and cut out everything at 7". I have to say, I don't care much for this card. The branch gets folded over the top of the card(almost like a tri-fold card) and it just isn't real sturdy. I might go back and try it again and see if I can come up with something else at a later time for this one. I really think it could be a cute card, it is just stumping me right now. :)

The next card is the Hello card, #27 in the book. I used fit to page and cut out everything at 5 1/4". I love it! I think this card is great for the tween girls to give to their friends. Maybe even as a slumber party invite. I went kinda funky with the colors for this one and chose Hot Pink and Bright Lime Green. My daughter loved it as soon as she saw it. Too cute!

Once again, thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate it. Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday 2 You!

Whoa! Where has the time gone? I can not believe it is June already. I am so looking forward to lazy summer days hanging out with my kids. :)

Today's card is another Birthday Card. I have quite a few birthdays in June to make cards for. I made this card to play along with the sketch over at The Sweet Stop Challenge Blog (SSS58).

I am not very good at making masculine cards. For some reason, I have a really hard time with it. Maybe it's the lack of glitter and cupcakes? :) I am pretty pleased with how this one turned out though.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and take a look! I appreciate it!
